Meet Dr. Shook

Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Shook is a licensed psychologist who specializes in psychological testing and therapy for children, adolescents, and their families. Dr. Shook received his undergraduate degree from Carnegie Mellon University, his doctoral degree from American University in behavior, cognition, and neuroscience, and his clinical training at the University of Hawaii. He completed his internship at Geisinger Medical Center and his clinical postdoctoral training at Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Shook uses a cognitive behavioral approach across mood, anxiety, behavioral challenges, and trauma from a holistic family perspective and conducts assessments for ADHD and Autism. He believes in a supportive and collaborative environment that focuses on children’s strengths and growth. He hopes to bring clarity and hope in his evaluations and treatment.

Specialties & Areas of Focus

Psychological testing including neurodevelopmental assessment (i.e., ADHD & ASD) and therapy for mood, anxiety, OCD, trauma, ADHD, and behavioral concerns.
